  1. Unofficial runoff election results are in! Some of the highlights are: Yolanda Flowers won the Democratic bid for governor, Mo Brooks was defeated by Katie Britt, and Ken Kubik won the Republican bid for Madison County Superintendent. (WHNT State Results , WHNT Local Results)
  2. Trash Pandas outfielder Orlando Martinez has been named the Southern League Player of the Week. This is the team’s sixth weekly award in the league over the first ten weeks, and the second player of the week. Martinez was also given the title at one point last year. (WAFF)
