Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Ten fires were set intentionally Saturday within a three-hour period. No injuries were reported, and charges were filed against a suspect that claims he was “led” to commit the crimes. (WAAY)
- The U.S. Senate candidate forum is tonight in Huntsville! Three candidates will be able to participate, with Congressman Mo Brooks sending virtual remarks ahead of time. (WZDX)
- Starting Wednesday, Huntsville Hospital will be offering boosters for the COVID-19 vaccine. Only the Pfizer vaccine is eligible for a booster at this time, and you must meet the several qualifications to be able to get the booster right now. (WHNT)
- The Huntsville Christmas Parade is back this year! It will take place December 7 and will follow a path through downtown. The theme this year is “Back in Action” after the parade was cancelled last year. (WAAY)
- Madison County is looking into ways to prepare for the surge in population they are continuing to experience. Finding and preparing land for houses has proved to be a challenge, but the 10,000 apartments coming online in the county are expected to ease the stress, at least temporarily. (WZDX)
