- William Darby, the Huntsville police officer convicted of murder in May, has resigned. Darby continued to be paid by the City of Huntsville after his conviction. The resignation went into effect Friday afternoon. (WAFF)
- The City of Huntsville and its regional partners have been able to recoup their $12.5 million investment into the Remington project. The company filed bankruptcy in October 2020 and had to sell their 800,000 square foot facility. (Patch)
- Huntsville is now home to a selfie museum! A Complete Vibe is a black-owned business that opened in July. (WZDX)
- There is a $20 million renovation plan in place to get Huntsville Utilities ready for the city’s expected growth. The renovation will not cause any service issues with current customers. (WAAY)
- The Huntsville Hospital System has seen an increase from 36 COVID patients to 78 in the past month. Madison County has also seen an increase of positive cases among individuals being tested. (themadisonrecord.com)
