• Magnolia Springs Volunteer Firefighters Host Seventh Annual Community Festival (obawebsite.com) — Magnolia Springs residents can look forward to the 7th Annual Firefighter Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 14809 Gates Avenue under the town's historic oaks. The free event will feature live music, firefighter-cooked food, kids' activities, local vendors, and beer and wine sales, all supporting the Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department's fundraising and community outreach. 
• Eastern Shore Trail extension nears completion near U.S. 98 (gulfcoastmedia.com) — A new 1.84-mile Eastern Shore Trail segment along U.S. 98 is nearly complete and designed to move the route closer to Magnolia Springs by November. Baldwin County has already secured funding to extend the trail from Pleasant View Lane to Magnolia Springs Highway, with a future multi-use path planned from U.S. 98 to Magnolia River, improving local walking and biking options.
• 2 gas stations in cities throughout Baldwin County had the cheapest premium gas in week ending Sept. 19 (baldwintimes.com) — Magnolia Springs drivers are included in a new snapshot of Baldwin County's premium gas prices for the week ending Sept. 19, with local stations among many listed across the county. While the county average hit $4.81 per gallon and Alabama's average reached $4.83, the report highlights where residents were finding the lowest reported prices at that time.
