Here are the top two stories today in Montgomery:
- Two people were arrested in Montgomery on Monday after two separate police chases involving stolen vehicles. The first chase occurred when officers tried to pull over a stolen vehicle at Plum and Ryan streets and end it after the suspect had a minor collision with an unoccupied vehicle. The check and chase occurred Monday afternoon when police tried to pull over a stolen vehicle at the corner of Zelda and Vaughn roads. The suspect was later arrested on foot. (Montgomery Advertiser)
- Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend. On Saturday night police and fire medics responded to the 5600 block of Carmichael Road where they found the body of a 21-year-old. That man has been identified as Travonne Pierce. No suspect has yet been found. (WSFA)
