🌱 Alabama Legislature New Website + Police Look For Two Suspects

Here are the top stories today in Montgomery:

  1. The Alabama Legislature's website is being updated so that users can track legislation and view live proceedings. This new site will also feature a quick search so that users can easily find bills and legislation history. It will remain at the same address and officials will provide a preview of the new site at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. (WSFA 12)
  2. Police are searching for two people wanted in connection with the first homicide of 2022 in Montgomery. One of the suspects appears to be brandishing a gun and both were seen to be running. Police and fire medics were dispatched at 3:11 p.m. on Saturday to Mobile Road near Beecher, where they found the victim dead. (AL.com)
  3. A two-vehicle crash on New Year's Day claimed the lives of two people: a man and a woman. The accident occurred at 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 1; one of the victims was driving the wrong way on US 231 and struck the other car. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. (AL.com)
