Here are the top stories in Montgomery today:
- The Alabama Emergency Management Agency held its Preparedness for Alabama Resilience Summit on Tuesday from the campus of Alabama State University. State EMA Director Brian Hastings says this summit is the first of its kind in Alabama, with legislators, government officials, business and non-profit leaders, economic and public safety professionals gathered for the Resiliency Summit. (News 4)
- Montgomery police have charged a suspect in a deadly shooting on Vaughn Plaza Road.
Capt. Saba Coleman said Jamie Williams, 23, is charged with murder in the shooting death of Alfred Smart, 24. The shooting happened on Dec. 5th around 1 a.m. in the 2800 block of Vaughn Plaza Road. Smart was found at the scene and pronounced dead. (WSFA 12)

- Auburn limped to the locker room with just a 5-point lead at halftime, but the Tigers eventually ran away with the victory in their second and final game without Bruce Pearl on the bench. Here are Montgomery Advertiser's takeaways from the win. (Facebook)
