Here are the top stories in Montgomery today:

  1. There was a two-vehicle wreck at Wares Ferry Road and Old Atlanta Highway Thursday evening. A spokesman for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said firefighters extracted at least one person. He could not confirm injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is handling the investigation. (WSFA)
  2. Montgomery police have arrested a man for shooting into a business Saturday night. Montgomery Police Capt. Saba Coleman said 29-year-old Demetrius Brown is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. The shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of East South Boulevard. (WSFA)
  3. As the Alabama special session on redistricting begins in Montgomery, Alabama Sen. Arthur Orr, R-Decatur, said Thursday on the Senate floor that he intends to file legislation related to vaccine mandates. (Alabama Political Reporter)
