A new Tai Chi class presented by the Taoist Tai Chi Society® expressly for beginners will start on Thursday afternoon, September 17, from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church, 738 Gibbs Road, Pike Road, AL 36064. Ongoing classes are held on Monday afternoons from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. This style of Tai Chi is entirely devoted to improving participants’ health, and it is especially beneficial for seniors, as proved by the many medical studies showing that regular practice improves balance, relaxation, stress response, overall circulation, bone density, and various back problems, among many other conditions. Everyone interested in improving their health is invited to attend and participate.
