Here are the top three stories in Montgomery today:

  1. A local family is offering an $8,000 reward to anyone who has information about a missing Montgomery man. Brent Talley has been missing since Nov. 22, 2016 when he was last seen in the 300 block of Kingswood Drive wearing a long-sleeve brown plaid shirt, khaki cargo pants, grey sneakers, and a red baseball cap. Talley was a participant in the Project Lifesaver program that offers tracking bracelets to those who wander due to diseases like Alzheimer's, but he removed his bracelet before wandering from his residence. 2. As COVID numbers fall in Alabama's schools, infections rise in Montgomery County's schools. The numbers were presented in a report from the Alabama Department of Public Health and it shows 9,800 COVID cases statewide. Montgomery County Public School's data does not specify if the reported cases involve students, teachers, or other staff. (Alabama News Network)
  3. Montgomery gun owners are now one step closer to being able to carry concealed weapons without a permit. A new bill has passed through the State's Senate Judiciary Committee and now is heading to the Senate floor for debate. Law enforcement officials have already stated that they do not support the new permitless carry law on grounds of public safety concerns. (WSFA12 News)
