- Montgomery City Councilor Oronde Mitchell has pledged to walk through all 17 neighborhoods that comprise District 6. Mitchell reportedly hopes that by canvassing the area he will gain a better understanding of what his district needs and wants. - The Pike Road Theatre Company is bringing Oliver! to Montgomery County stages. This show will be the theatre company's inaugural performance. All of the performances will be held at Pike Road Intermediate School with shows starting on Apr. 21. Ticket information and upcoming show schedules are reportedly available on the theatre company's website. (Alabama News Network)
- A six-week-old child has been recovered safely following a statewide Amber Alert on Wednesday afternoon. The Dothan Police Department found the child in the custody of Alexis Richards, 22, after she took her child from a temporary residence. Richards has been charged with one count of interference with custody. (WSFA12 News)
