🌱 Crash Cleared At I-65 + Two Gunshot Incidents

Here are the top three stories today in Montgomery:

  1. On Thursday morning, a car accident near the Interstate 65/85 interchange in Montgomery caused delays. A truck appears to strike a barrier wall on the interchange, hitting other cars and blocking lanes. several vehicles were involved in the crash but only minor injuries have been reported. The lanes are now cleared. (WSFA)
  2. On Wednesday afternoon, the Montgomery Police Department responded to local hospitals twice within an hour in relation to gunshot victims. Officers reported to the hospitals at 1:50 p.m. and again at 2:40 p.m. The victims were adult males and were being treated for non-threatening injuries. Currently, an investigation is ongoing. (WSFA)
  3. In the search for the next superintendent of Montgomery County schools, community members express a need for transparency and community. The Alabama Association of School Boards is working as a consulting agency to find candidates for the next superintendent and has held community sessions to gather input into what qualities they believe the next superintendent should possess.
