🌱 Dueling Defamation Lawsuits + Bob Dylan Comes To Montgomery
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Montgomery.
Hey, Montgomery! Let's get this Tuesday started off right. Here's everything you need to know about what's happening today in town.
First, today's weather:
A little morning rain; cloudy. High: 52 Low: 32.
Here are the top two stories in Montgomery today:
- Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and the woman who accused him of sexual assault will each bring defamation claims against the other to Montgomery's court this week. Leigh Corfman says that at the age of 14, a then-32-year-old Moore pursued and molested her; five other women later came forward to accuse Moore of a range of improper conduct. Corfman filed a defamation lawsuit after Moore publicly denied the allegations, prompting Moore to file a counter-suit citing his accuser's "slanderous" and "libelous" statements. - Music legend Bob Dylan will soon be stopping in Montgomery. The singer's "Rough and Rowdy Ways" tour is headed to three stops in Alabama, starting with the Performing Arts Centre on Mar. 21. He'll then make his way to the BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham on Apr. 5 and Mobile's Saenger Theatre on Apr. 7. Tickets for Dylan's Alabama shows will be available for purchase on Ticketmaster on Feb. 4 at 10:00 a.m. (WSFA 12 News)

From our sponsor:
Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They're chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent and worthy of life beyond "Dry January." We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we've since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts.
Enough of you took Betera up on their 15% discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they've extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
