Here are the top three stories in Montgomery today:
- Montgomery's Sonya McIntosh, 43, died in a two-car crash on I-85. The incident occurred on Friday night while McIntosh was traveling northbound near Chantilly Parkway. She was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. (Alabama News Network)
- The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the East Woodland Drive area. One man is being treated at a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound following the incident. Investigators have not released any additional information regarding the shooting. (Alabama News Network)
- A Sunday fire has caused extensive damage to a home in the 300 block of Prairie Vista Drive. The West Montgomery fire was quickly extinguished once fire crews arrived at the scene. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the fire. Montgomery Fire/Rescue is performing an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. (WSFA12 News)
