- Governor Kay Ivey is awarding $11.1 million in grant money to support low-income households with water costs. The grants will allow community service agencies to help with residential water costs with a focus on helping the elderly, people with disabilities, and families with small children. The Montgomery Community Action Committee and Community Development Corporation Inc will receive $554,236. (WTOK)
- The dry air that Montgomery residents have been enjoying on St. Patrick's Day will bring the threat of level two severe storms. - The Alabama Port Authority has released its Feb. 2022 container volumes report and it shows a significant increase in traffic. According to the report, refrigerated cargo saw a 54.2 percent increase and intermodal rail transfers saw a 12.4 percent increase. The report also details how continued port investment, such as the Montgomery Port investment, will expand capacity at the nation's fastest-growing gateways. (Alabama Political Reporter)
