🌱 Missing Montgomery Man Found + Woman Sets 2 Fires Over Weekend

- A man reported missing from Montgomery on Sunday was found safe in Hoover Monday morning. John Smith and his wife Marolyn, both of whom suffer from dementia, were reported missing that day; Marolyn was found quickly and in good health. John was found the next day when he walked into a Hoover credit union; he had reportedly been driving around since his disappearance. (AL.com)
- A woman is facing multiple charges following two fires set in Montgomery over the long weekend. Shanice Griffin is charged with second-degree arson in connection to a Friday morning structure fire on Chapman Street, as well as first-degree criminal mischief over a Saturday afternoon vehicle fire on East South Boulevard. Reportedly, Griffin admitted to setting both fires and was subsequently arrested. (WSFA 12)
- Montgomery police confirmed yet another non-lethal shooting Sunday, marking the latest of several shootings over the weekend. The Sunday shooting happened around 6 p.m. at the Bristol Downs apartment complex, where officers found a woman shot with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not release any other information on this case, nor have any arrests been announced in any of the other weekend shootings at this time. (WSFA 12)
