1. A new partnership will provide financial education and counseling in Montgomery. Trustmark Bank, Operation HOPE and City of Montgomery have partnered to "ensure everyone in Montgomery has the chance to live, learn and earn," according to the Mayor. An Operation HOPE Inside location is now located at Trustmark's Carmichael Road location in Montgomery. (Alabama News Network)
2. Penni McClammy was sworn in to fill the Alabama House seat vacated by her father's death. She took the oath of office on Wednesday to represent District 76 in Montgomery in the House of Representatives. McClammy was the only candidate to qualify in the Democratic party. (AL.com)
3. Alabama COVID-19 hospitalizations have declined but there are still cases to treat; Hospital staff are under less stress than they were in September during the peak of the Delta variant. (WSFA)
4. Former MPS interim CFO, Brenda Palmer, was arrested for violating a state ethics law and stealing over $300K from the school system. (Alabama News Network)
