The lawsuit was filed in Montgomery County on behalf of 36-year-old Tidera Harris, naming the city of Montgomery and one unnamed officer as the defendants. The suit contends that Harris was stopped and handcuffed without cause, after which the officer "used deadly force, and immediately shot Tidera Harris a number of times, while handcuffed, causing serious injuries to Mr. Harris in his back, shoulder, stomach, and both hands." They will hold their annual Blanket Drive on Saturdays Nov. 6, 13, and 20 at locations across Montgomery to collect crucial winter items for residents experiencing homelessness.
