Here are the top two stories today in Montgomery:

  1. A Montgomery woman has been charged with child abuse after biting a child and hitting them with a high-heeled shoe. On Monday night at a Montgomery residence, 29-year-old Victorina Reynoso reportedly became angry with the victim, at which time she assaulted them. She later took a metal scooter and hit multiple children in the area of their heads. The children at the residence also confirmed they had been hit with a phone charging cord and told to leave the house. (WSFA 12)
  2. 18-year-old LaDarrien Amarrion Wheat has been missing from Montgomery since Monday evening. According to a Tuesday alert from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Wheat suffers from a condition that may require medical treatment. Wheat was last seen around 6:30 p.m. on Monday near Foxhall Drive and was wearing a white and gray Nike hoodie. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Montgomery Police Department. (AL.com)
