Here are the top three stories today in Montgomery:

  2. The Montgomery Police Department has charged Billy Neal Sims Jr. with second-degree assault. The department identified Sims as a suspect in a shooting that occurred last Wednesday in the 900 block of West South Boulevard. 3. After an overturned 18-wheeler blocked lanes of Interstate 85 for hours, the interstate has since reopened. The crash occurred Thursday morning in the northbound lanes at mile marker 3.4 just past the Ann Street exit.
