Here are the top stories in Montgomery today:
- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon near Birmingham Highway and Hunter Loop Road. Police and fire medics responded to the crash at around 4 p.m. While the two drivers received minor injures, a passenger from one of their vehicles was taken to a nearby hospital in life-threatening condition. (WSFA 12)
- Montgomery Police have identified 49-year-old Eddie Wilkerson as the victim of the Thursday night shooting on Longleaf Drive. Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made and this shooting is still under investigation. (Montgomery Advertiser)
- On Saturday, unused medications were put into boxes outside of Jones Drugs in Montgomery as a part of the 21st DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. (WSFA 12)
- The mayors of the 10 largest cities in Alabama are holding two days of meetings in Montgomery to discuss legislative priorities and other issues. (AL.com)
