- An investigation is underway after an 18-year-old was found shot in Montgomery earlier this week. Montgomery police identified the victim as Marium Mathew. Mathew was pronounced dead on the scene. Police and fire medics responded at 8:20 a.m. on Monday to the 3700 block of Seaton Boulevard on a report of a person shot, said Capt. Saba Coleman. (AL.com)
- Alabama's Attorney General Steve Marshall has issued a $25,000 fine to the city of Montgomery for replacing the name of Confederate President Jefferson Davis with that of Rosa Parks' attorney Fred Gray. (Black Enterprise)
