- A weekend shooting in Montgomery has left one man dead. The shooting happened at 10:55 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Victor Tulane Circle. Police and fire medics arrived at the scene to find 36-year-old Sammy Lewis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. (AL.com)
- A woman says she was attacked Saturday in an incident at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex. Lakiesha McCall said she was hit and slammed against a cement wall, and her attacker was shot and killed. A public information officer at Maxwell Air Force Base confirmed two Maxwell Air Force Security Forces personnel and a civilian were injured in an incident just before 8 a.m. at the Congressman Dickinson Drive gate. - An Alabama pharmacy, Parks Pharmacy, is giving mostly COVID-19 booster shots amid coronavirus variants. (WSFA)
