Mountain Brook Elementary Receives Funds For New Lights For Field

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The fields at Mountain Brook Elementary School will get new LED lights thanks to funds received this week from Alabama Sen. Dan Roberts. Roberts presented a check for $53,516.49 to Mayor Stewart Welch for the project, set to begin this year.

"Improving our fields and lighting for our youth athletics programs is a major focus by the City Council in the coming year," city manager Sam Gaston said.

Earlier this month, Jefferson County Commissioner Steve Ammons announced a pledge of $20,000 to the Mountain Brook Athletic Complex for renovations.
