• Trussville man charged in fatal Mountain Brook crash (cbs42.com) — A Trussville man has been charged with reckless manslaughter and assault after a July 25 crash on Southwood Road in Mountain Brook that killed two people and injured others. Mountain Brook police say warrants were issued this week after reviewing crash evidence with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, though no additional details have been released yet.

Witnesses described a chaotic night in which two friends were fatally shot, and a judge ruled there is enough evidence for a Jefferson County grand jury to consider charges.
