• Alabama Activates Statewide ALalert System for Flood and Disaster Warnings (weisradio.com) — A new statewide ALalert system is now live to warn Alabamians, including Mountain Brook residents, about floods and other fast-moving disasters via phones, TV, and radio. The program, partly inspired by the loss of eight-year-old Sarah Marsh of Mountain Brook in a Texas camp flood, pairs with new camp safety rules and encourages families to register before emergencies strike.
