A Mountain Brook restaurant has partnered with the YMCA to supply food for the children of first responders.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Amid the chaos created by the spread of the coronavirus, a Mountain Brook eatery is giving back to the community. Moe's Southwest Grill on Highway 280 is partnering with the YMCA to provide meals for first responders' children utilizing the YMCA's daycare services.
YMCA locations across the country are offering free childcare for healthcare workers, first responders and essential personnel. The Mountain Brook Moe’s has partnered with two local YMCA locations (2250 AL-150 in Hoover and 3551 Montgomery Highway in Birmingham) to provide meals for these children and the staff at YMCA on Tuesday, April 7.
The donation from Moe’s includes cheese quesadillas, junior burritos, chips and cookies plus coloring sheets and crayons. Additionally, filling a huge need from the YMCA, Moe’s will provide 200 gloves to each location.
