Spartans Star Harold Joiner Commits To Auburn

Mountain Brook running back Harold Joiner announced he will accept a scholarship to Auburn.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The speculation around where Mountain Brook star running back Harold Joiner will play his college football is over. Joiner announced Sunday he will accept a scholarship to play at Auburn, joining a recruiting class that ranks among the best in the country.

Joiner, who was named to USA Today's All Alabama Team, and was an Army All-American, chose Auburn over Ole Miss, Florida State, UCLA, Alabama, Georgia and LSU, among other schools. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound running back missed a significant amount of the season, including the playoffs, due to injury, but still managed to finish the season with 738 yards and 16 touchdowns on 136 carries for the Spartans. He also caught 18 passes.

Joiner made his decision official via Twitter:
