• Pelham picks up two wins at Ironman (shelbycountyreporter.com) — Pelham volleyball fans can celebrate two solid wins as the Panthers wrapped up Huntsville's Ironman tournament with a 2-3 record, including straight-set victories over Central-Florence and Sparkman. Strong performances from hitters and back-row leaders like Miciah Green, Bristol Hannah, and Emory Turnley highlighted the weekend and offer encouraging signs heading into the rest of the season.
   

• Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest Now Open (outdooralabama.com) — Pelham residents can currently visit the 2026 Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest exhibit at Oak Mountain State Park's Interpretive Center through September 16, showcasing winning nature images from across the state. At the same time, ADCNR has opened entries for the 2027 contest, inviting amateur photographers to submit Alabama-shot images by October 30 for a chance to be featured statewide next year.
