• Proposed data center in Prichard draws mixed reactions (fox10tv.com) — A major data center proposal in Prichard could bring a $93 million investment and about 20 high-paying jobs, but residents are worried about water use and environmental impacts. City officials and Edged Energy say a closed-loop cooling system would use virtually no municipal water, and they’re inviting residents to a June 11 meeting at Prichard City Hall to ask questions and share concerns.
