• Tim Cook stepping down as Apple CEO (businessalabama.com) — A native son of Robertsdale is making global headlines as Tim Cook, who grew up here before leading Apple since 2011, plans to step down as CEO on Sept. 1. Cook will become executive chairman while longtime Apple engineer John Ternus takes over, marking a major transition for the tech giant with roots back to Baldwin County.
