The group has now also secured 238 acres near Splinter Hill Bog, aiming to safeguard rare pitcher plant bogs, wetlands, and water quality as development pressure increases north of I-10. 
• A U.S. Citizen Is Suing ICE for Arresting Him Twice. He Just Got Arrested a Third Time. (reason.com) — A Silverhill construction worker and U.S. citizen says he was detained by ICE for a third time, this one outside his home in town earlier this month. His case, now part of a class-action lawsuit, challenges federal immigration enforcement practices that allegedly ignore valid IDs and disproportionately target Latino workers at construction sites.
