• Safe Haven Baby Box to be installed at Sylacauga Fire Department (wbrc.com) — Sylacauga is getting a new Safe Haven Baby Box at the fire department in City Hall, giving local parents a safe, legal way to surrender newborns they cannot care for. Adoption nonprofit ACT Families is fundraising $40,000 for installation and service, while Sylacauga’s SAFE group will supply essentials that accompany surrendered infants to their adoptive homes.
