School leaders and coaches describe a devastated Talladega community mourning a respected student-athlete who had just planned his next steps at Gadsden State Community College.

Comer Elementary students dive into science and agriculture by hatching chicks in their classrooms. • Former daycare workers sentenced for physically punishing toddler in Talladega County (wbrc.com) — Two former workers at a Talladega County daycare have been sentenced after surveillance video showed them physically punishing a toddler, leading to one woman serving time in the county jail. The child’s mother, from Talladega, says she’s relieved some accountability was imposed and notes the daycare’s license was revoked after this and other violations.
