2 Victims Hospitalized After Jefferson County Shooting
Two victims were injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in Jefferson County Monday.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man and a woman were hospitalized after a shooting in east Jefferson County Monday. The victims drove themselves to the hospital after the incident, which occurred around 6 p.m.
Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's office said deputies were called to St. Vincent's East around 6:30 p.m. Monday when two victims arrived with gunshot wounds.
Agee said the victims told investigators they were sitting in their car at the Spring Villa Court apartments, off Springville Road when two men tried to rob them. The victims were shot as they drove away from the scene, according to the report. The victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
