8-Year-Old Child Shot In Center Point
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that has hospitalized an 8-year-old child.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in Center Point Wednesday night that sent an 8-year-old child to the hospital. The child is expected to recover from the injuries.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 500 block of 27th Avenue NW in Center Point.
Money said the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unknown and the incident is under investigation.
