All-State Football Team: Local Schools Represented Well
Players From Hewitt-Trussville, Pinson Valley, Clay-Chalkville and Center Point were named to ASWA All State teams.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — Although the 2019 football season ended without a state title for any of the local teams, the season was a huge success in many ways, especially considering the number of local players who ended up on the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State teams announced this week.
Players from Hewitt-Trussville, Clay-Chalkville, Pinson Valley and Center Point were listed among the best in the state.

Hewitt-Trussville
- 7A First Team Defense: DL Justice Finkley, So., 6-2, 255; DB: Malachi Moore, Sr., 6-0, 180
- 7A Second Team Offesne: OL: Logan Self, Sr., 6-4, 280
- 7A Honorable Mention: Dazalin Worsham, Hewitt-Trussville, Sr., 6-2, 185; DL Eric Taylor, Sr., 6-5, 295
