Arrest Made After Car Chase Through Trussville
A man has been arrested after a long car chase with Trussville police.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - A long car chase through Trussville Thursday ended in the arrest of the driver after he drove his pickup truck into a resident's backyard.
A report by the Trussville Tribune said the suspect drove down several streets trying to elude police cars. During the pursuit, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department notified Trussville PD that the suspect could be an escaped convict out of Clay County and could be armed.
The vehicle finally came to a stop after the suspect drove his truck into a backyard and hit a tree on Brentwood Avenue. The suspect then jumped out of the vehicle and ran from the police. After a short foot chase, the officers apprehended him.

Although the suspect turned out not to be the escaped convict, he was arrested and charged with DUI.
