Arrests Made At Center Point Apartment Complex

Seven suspects were arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at a Center Point apartment complex on drug and gun charges.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Seven people were arrested on marijuana, loitering and gun charges at a Center Point apartment complex Monday.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 1900 block of East Bend Circle in Center Point to investigate drug activity Monday afternoon after a report that several men had been seen smoking marijuana and brandishing firearms near a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala.

According to reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, after deputies arrived and located the men, one man was seen exiting the car and hiding something underneath it. A bag of marijuana was found where he had hidden it. Several others suspects were seen getting out of the car, and one of the men had a handgun tucked in the waistband of his pants. A rifle and three more handguns were found in the car as well as a grocery bag filled with marijuana.

All of the men were identified and arrested for various charges:

  • 22-year-old Roderick Dawon Lewis of Montgomery was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Pistol without a License.
  • 20-year-old Nijal Devine Hill of Center Point was charged with Loitering for Drug Activity.
  • 22-year-old David Mitchell of Center Point was charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License.
  • 22-year-old Deadrian Treyvorest Martin of Montgomery was charged with Loitering for Drug Activity.
  • 18-year-old Tariq James Stinson-Fenil was charged with Loitering for Drug Activity.
  • 18-year-old Waki Tavares Bishop of Center Point was charged with Loitering for Drug Activity.
  • 19-year-old Rodrequis Juawon Managan of Montgomery was charged with Loitering for Drug Activity.
