Beth Bruno Honored With Outstanding Curriculum Leader Award

Trussville's Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Beth Bruno has received a prestigious award.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - Trussville City Schools has been recognized as one of the best school systems in the state, and much of that success is the result of the efforts of the system's front office. That effort has been recognized this month, as Trussville's Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Beth Bruno has been named the Outstanding Curriculum Leader by the Alabama Association of Supervision for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

The award recognizes curriculum leaders for outstanding contributions to curriculum development, advancement or implementation. Bruno will be honored at the February 19 Trussville Board of Education meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Neill stated, "Using a team approach, Ms. Bruno creates procedures that help all TCS administrators and teachers grow professionally, academically, and personally. She wants everyone in TCS to be successful in their roles and works to make sure all have the tools to be as effective as possible. Ms. Bruno is an outstanding leader that has truly lead our system to the next level of excellence."

“Mrs. Bruno’s continuous learning practices are infectious and she expects others to be as proactive as she in continuously learning and growing professionally," said Secondary Curriculum Coordinator Dr. Jennifer Cardwell. "The quality PD she facilitates ensures our learning organization maintains a growth mindset towards continuous learning.”
