Car Stolen At Gunpoint On Deerfoot Parkway: Suspect In Custody
Trussville police have a suspect in custody after a car was stolen Sunday night off Deerfoot Parkway.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - A robbery late Sunday night off Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville resulted in one suspect placed into Trussville police custody. Police reported that a car was stolen at gunpoint at 10:45 p.m. Sunday night, and a suspect was found after the Springville Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle.
A report by the Trussville Tribune said a 22-year-old black male stole a vehicle after the suspect pointed a gun at the occupants of the vehicle, which included one adult and two small children, forcing the children out of the car. The suspect then drove off in the vehicle and got on I-59 NB at the 143 entrance ramp.

The Springville Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle and stopped it. When the vehicle came to a stop, the suspect reportedly ran from the vehicle. After a foot chase, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. Charges are pending.
