Center Point Man Arrested For Trafficking Methamphetamine

BIRMINGHAM, AL - For the second time in two months, 43-year-old Center Point resident Eric Michael Simonson has been arrested for trafficking methamphetamine.

On December 7, 2017, investigators from the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit executed a drug search warrant at a residence in the 2200 block of 2nd Terrace NW in Center Point. This search warrant is part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in northeast Jefferson County. Deputies seized more than 135 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, scales, and marijuana. The street value of the drugs is approximately $11,000.

At the time of this arrest, Simonson was out of jail on bond for a previous arrest on October 13, 2017, for trafficking methamphetamine. Simonson remains in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
