Cracker Barrel Shooting Suspect Out On Bond
Bryan Hancock, 22, of Pinson, was released on $250,000 bond according to Jefferson County Jail records.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The accused shooter in a March 28 shooting at the Trussville Cracker Barrel restaurant is out on bond. Bryan Hancock, 22, of Pinson, was released on Tuesday, according to Jefferson County Jail records.
Hancock is accused of shooting and killing Randy Young after a verbal dispute in the parking lot of the Trussville Cracker Barrel. His attorneys in May filed for his release after a delay in his preliminary hearing.
The shooting happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. March 28 at the restaurant on Norrell Drive. Trussville police dispatched to the scene found Young on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. Trussville police Chief Eric Rush said the shooting stemmed from a dispute in the parking lot. It began, he said, when two men parked in a manner that blocked in the victim's vehicle. "An argument ensued, and it escalated to the point that the victim was shot by one of the suspects,'' Rush said. Hancock’s attorneys claim the shooting was in self-defense.
