Death Investigation Under Way In Trussville
A vehicle fire early Monday morning resulted in the death of a Trussville man.
TRUSSVILLE, AL - A vehicle fire early Monday morning in Trussville has now prompted a death investigation by authorities. Police responded to reports of a car on fire in the front yard of a home near the intersection of Smith Sims Road and Mountain Ridge Road at approximately 6:30 Monday morning.
A neighbor alerted one of the people inside the home of the fire, and when that resident tried to wake the other resident of the home, the man was found to be dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Trussville Police department is working with the Jefferson County Coroner's Office on the investigation.
