Death Of Toddler Leads To Arrest Of 24-Year-Old Man
The Leeds Police Department has made an arrest in the death of a two-year-old boy.

LEEDS, AL - The Leeds Police Department has made an arrest after an investigation into the death of a two-year-old boy. The child died at Children's Hospital April 21.
Jason Daniel Sparks was arrested Tuesday in connection with the child's death. Reports from Leeds police said Sparks is accused of violently shaking the two-year-old, causing his brain to bleed.
A report by WVTM said the boy, identified as Tyler Michael Haws, lived with Sparks and his wife, who took him to the hospital on April 17. Authorities said the child was very ill and unresponsive. Upon examination, the child had "unexplained injuries."

According to Tyler’s uncle, Ryan Haws, Tyler's dad fell ill and could no longer care for him. While Tyler’s dad sought treatment, he handed Tyler over to Sparks' wife, who the Haws family called a friend. Police indicated that more arrests could follow, as they continue to investigate the case.
