Deputies Find Dead Body In Vehicle On I-22

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death on Interstate 22, where deputies found a body in a vehicle Sunday. Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway near exit 89 on I-22 around 2:30 p.m.

Deputies checked the vehicle and reportedly found a unresponsive Hispanic woman inside. Paramedics checked the woman and confirmed that she was deceased.

A report by the JCSO said the body was transported to the Coroner's office for examination and determination of cause of death. Detectives are working with family members to help determine what happened.
