Body Of Missing Fisherman In Cosby Lake Found
An Army Ranger veteran has been identified as the fisherman missing at Cosby Lake.

CLAY, AL — The body of a man who was reported missing Tuesday near Cosby Lake in Clay has been found. Divers searched for 36-year-old Russell “Rambo” Patterson in the lake all day, and authorities announced Wednesday afternoon they had found Patterson's body.
Patterson was an Army Ranger veteran, and served three tours with the U.S. Army. He was last seen at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a WBRC report.
A report by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said family members became concerned when they tried to contact him and he did not respond. Family members came to the lake and found his truck and overturned kayak but they were unable to locate him. Deputies and emergency personnel from Center Point Fire responded to search for the missing man.

First responders searched the lake by boat, checked the banks of the lake, checked the surrounding area with a K9 team and had an overhead search by the Star 1 helicopter. First responders recovered shoes and other items belonging to Patterson.
