Drug Bust In Center Point: More Than 2 Pounds Of Meth Found

A narcotics investigation in Center Point led to the seizure of more than two pounds of methamphetamine, and four arrests.

CENTER POINT, AL — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office recovered more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine during a narcotics investigation in Center Point Tuesday. Deputies made four arrests in the case.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said detectives served a search warrant in the 2300 Block of 3rd Place Northwest in Center Point Tuesday and seized four bags of methamphetamine (totaling just short of 2.5 lbs), Xanax pills, Suboxone strips and marijuana.

Deputies arrested 35-year-old Ashlie Starnes Denny, 39-year-old Courtney Jimez White, 24-year-old Justice DeAngelo Rudolph and 30-year-old Ashley Nicole Childs.

Charges include four counts of drug trafficking, two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substances, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

All four are in custody in the Jefferson County Jail.
