Escaped St. Clair Prisoner Captured In Kentucky
Corey Aris Davis has been recaptured after he escaped from the St. Clair County Correctional Facility in Springville last week.

SPRINGVILLE, AL - An escaped convict from the St. Clair County Correctional Facility in Springville has been recaptured. Corey Aris Davis, a 30-year-old man serving a life sentence on human trafficking, was found in Kentucky Saturday.
Alabama Department of Corrections officials said Davis concealed himself inside a trailer while he was working in a furniture plant that is managed by the Alabama Correctional Industries. At about 12:30 p.m. that day, the trailer left the facility and was taken directly to the ACI facility in Montgomery, according to an Alabama Media Group report.
Davis was captured by U.S. Marshals in Kentucky around 3:36 Saturday morning. ADOC spokesman Bob Horton said prison officials have identified three inmate suspects at the prison who assisted Davis in his escape. Their identities are not being released at this time.
