Fatal Center Point Shooting Under Investigation

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in Center Point that occurred Wednesday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a shooting complaint in the 1800 block of Bond Circle NE in Center Point. Deputies arrived to find an adult male victim suffering gunshot injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital. A second injured person was found at the hospital. One of the injured has died.

Early Information from the scene is that the deceased attempted to rob the other injured party. There was an exchange of gunfire and both were struck.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
